My Marathon To Being A Youth Activist
Many people fail to understand why it’s a great deal to serve the world in different perspectives. The way we visualize things, that's what we are creating for the next 10 years, if not 20 good years, but the many of us, particularly the youth whom we are in the majority, miss it a billion times to envision our own impactful ideas. It's okay under normal circumstances for several claimed reasons. Did I say claimed ones, YES of course!!!
Anyway, I personally believe with so many hopes that there is always a way to that, one way or another. The moment we the youths stop blaming small barriers instead looking at a bigger mirror for proper view map, by that definitely there will be more pathfinders in the youth arenas, be like cleaver builders whom they start with concreted foundations and not the roofs or/and the top by that it will help to prepare you the way to your next ladder steps, yes it’s hard to focus on one or two things but first find that passion in your heart and make it ring into your ears that will make the driving energies in you to start the work of your dream, always there are challenges to find your way up but remember even Rome wasn’t built in a day in simpler put your desire or dream can not be in an operational next day after nightmares NO, I said hell NO, first work on it and do more consultations simply by sharing the concept to your friends, relatives, it can be via email, whatsApp,Facebook or any form of communication you may feel like. Most importantly, arrange a meeting with interested parties if need arises but don’t rush!!!
Well, we all waste our time doing some stuff definitely out of passion, it's okay we all have done that before. And it’s a recurring challenge to others who have been in the system for so long not because they want but in most cases not paying attention to each incoming and out coming details to issues building up your profile.
A better world is possible if we believe in the spirit of togetherness. Once we are walking together and start building better teams based on the passions we can have a stormy impact which can definitely make a huge impact in our communities regardless of the boundaries. Think about the places we are seeing around, are they deserving of the standard of life across the nation or the globe? Am not so sure.
We have more things to act upon to change the shape of the diversities we have, we need universality by any means. The efforts being put should be corroborative ones to fulfill the beautiful one diversity.
As a youth coming together for the intended purposes is what defines us as true agents of changes in our communities or host communities. Being active with valid options is what makes you a better you in any field. It can be environment, natural resources, entrepreneurship, politics, community development, health sectors, climate actions among other trending topics.
In the year 2019 it’s when I thought it wise to partake in the welfare of the planet earth in several areas. As a Geology Student at International University of Africa in Sudan, Khartoum I didn’t hesitate to join my fellow African youths from different countries to initiate an initiative in health related fields regardless of being a non-Medical student but passion to serve the communities being in me made me to venture by Introducing an organization called Youth Against Cancer abbreviated as YAC where The youth partnered to significantly focus on creating awareness to the masses on preventive measures of cancer.
Distinctive areas of focus for the campaign being:
1) Strategies for both cancer prevention & treatment.
2) Early disease diagnostics.
3) Safe and effective drugs to early cancer victims.
Our mission statement being “To create cancer awareness and early detection through screening and healthy lifestyle modifications”
There have been great steps in as far as achievements are all about starting from our first Photoshop, Debriefing ceremony, Breast Cancer screening event and final luncheon, Blood donation to the Khartoum oncology Hospital in which we partnered with The International Youth Society, Women Breast Organization For Cancer Care
The Initiative was founded on the 28th of October, 2019 by combination of the following countries in Sudan; Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, and the Gambia. Currently it has five nations since its inception, Sudan included.
We hope to do more as time goes by as we believe that if we come together we shall manage to have A health conscious, informed and cancer free society.
